Insight Meditation Scottsdale daylong retreats offer an opportunity to cultivate continuity of practice over the course of a day, supported by an experienced teacher and a welcoming community of practitioners.

What to expect
at an Insight Meditation (Mindfulness) Daylong Retreat

The opportunity to practice together, in person and in community, provides a powerful support for settling the body and mind, and allowing the qualities of mindfulness, steadiness, and ease to develop naturally over the course of the day.
Daylong retreats are appropriate for those new to meditation , providing guidance and support; as well as for experienced practitioners wishing to refresh and deepen their practice.
The day includes instruction, guided and silent meditation, periods of both mindfulness and loving-kindness practice; in alternating periods of sitting and walking meditation. Gentle movement practices may also be offered.
Opportunities for individual check-in with the teacher about practice during the day will be offered.
Registered Participants will receive an email the day before the retreat
with detailed information. To prepare in advance:

Bring lunch to maintain continuity of practice throughout the day
instructions in eating meditation will be offered
Water and Tea will be available. Bring a snack to share if you like.
Chairs provided, bring your own meditation cushions or bench if desired.
Phones should be put away for the day. Please do not bring any electronic devices.

Genevieve Tregor has practiced Vipassana (Insight) meditation since 2008 and has been teaching since 2014. She has studied and practiced in depth with senior Western and Monastic teachers in the Insight Tradition, including Jack Kornfield, Joseph Goldstein, Howard Cohn and Gil Fronsdal, including over a year and a half in intensive silent retreat.
Genevieve leads the Insight Meditation Scottsdale sitting group, and teaches in both the Insight meditation tradition and in contemporary mindfulness approaches locally and internationally; offering the original MBSR program as well as workshops, trainings, and retreats. She served for 6 years on the Faculty of Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach's International Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification Program, mentoring teachers-in-training around the world. She is additionally trained in the three year Somatic Experiencing (SE) modality for healing trauma, and certified in Radiant Heart Qi Gong.
